Monthly Meetings/Park Days - typically held at Sunset Ridge Park (Victorville)
End-of-year Graduation and Awards Ceremony
A community environment where families are supported with any homeschooling and curriculum questions.
Fundraising will help us:
Provide assistance with travel to educational opportunities outside of our community - Aquarium of the Pacific, California Science Center, LAHM, etc.
Coordinate large-scale opportunities to visit landmarks such as - CA Capitol Museum in Sacramento, Washington DC, Kennedy Space Center in Florida, etc.
Our vision is important because:
The students in our community have limited access to educational opportunities, networking options, career development, and resources due to a lack of infastructure in our rural areas.
By traveling together, the students gain independence by building confidence, resiliance, and flexibility when facing new environments. It encourages critical thinking, cultural empathy, knowledge retention, and generates real-world experiences. Our place-based learning model will encourage natural curiosity and maintain a love of learning.
Our students will see and learn about different communities outside of what they are used to and will be introduced to a wide variety of career opportunities, supporting their future eandevors.
